Pet Food & Pet Care 2008
  • Who are the pet fanciers? What is the share of people who buy pet food and pet care goods? What kind of pets people have at most?
  • What are motivations of people to have pets? How individual types of fanciers differ according to their lifestyle, shopping habits, demands and type of a pet?
  • How often do people buy pet food and other pet care goods? How individual segments of fanciers differ regarding the kind and number of animals, expenditures, shopping behaviour and decision making when choosing a store?
  • How much shoppers spend on pet food and pet care goods in total and on particular categories (food, toys, pet care, vet care)? On which pets people spend at most? How do they choose particular goods in the store and which product brands they know?
  • What type of store do shoppers prefer when buying pet food and pet care? Where do they buy pet food and where they shop for other pet goods? How are purchases of pet food linked to common food shopping and what is the role of specialized stores? How do shoppers choose their store?
  • What is the rate of awareness of pet food & pet care stores? How are they assessed by shoppers and which chains are the most popular?
  • How often do pet fanciers visit vet doctors? How are they satisfied with service quality, price, accessibility of vet services? Are they interested in commercial health insurance for their pets?
  • To which extend do shoppers use Internet when buying pet food and pet care? Which categories do they buy most often and how much do they spend on pet food and pet care on the Internet?

The study is intended both for retailers (identifies customers and their demands) and suppliers (for optimisation of marketing strategy and campaigns and identifications of best sellers) as well as other subjects active on the pet food and pet care market.
