Purchasing power in Czech districts and municipalities 2007
 
Along with a growing competition on Czech trade market also the significance of detailed information on regional differences in purchasing power of population is increasing. Since 1995, GfK has been regularly monitoring these characteristics within the frame of its research project PURCHASING POWER IN DISTRICTS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC. Outputs of this unique consumer’s purchasing potential evaluation (processed with unified methodology all over the Europe) serves mainly for marketing, trade and development activities at particular areas and represent an important comparative view of concrete areas (values for particular territorial units are compared with the Czech Republic’s average).

The results have been based on model processing of wide spectrum of data inputs, partly from official sources (demographic and educational structure of population, earnings level, employment structure and other economic characteristics, structure of habitation) and partly from GfK’s own large-scale primary research (among others, interviews with 20.000 randomly chosen households within the whole Czech Republic).

odrážka Basic version „Purchasing power in Czech districts 2007“ offers information on the level of purchasing power in all regions and districts in the Czech Republic related to the population of a given territory (maps, charts, brief commentary). The results are available on CD and in printed version.
odrážka Complex version of „Purchasing power in Czech districts and municipalities 2007“ further offers purchasing power characteristics in more than 6.200 Czech municipalities and 2.700 postcode areas. For each district, the results are presented in table and in map. Besides a CD and a brief printed report, users will be provided also with 2 maps of A3 size: Purchasing power in Czech districts and Purchasing power in Czech municipalities of CR.
odrážka Moreover, for upgraded versions, a flexible system enables calculations of purchasing power for arbitrarily defined territories as well as other individual analysis (e.g. the possibility to interconnect these data with other sociodemographic or economic parameters chosen) - We will be pleased to render further information on the possibilities of the geographic information systems implementation on demand.
